From Phyllida's Desk

Performance piece

August 9, 2015

To those of you who are still hanging in there with me: Hello and Thank You!

Yes, I am still writing--and yes, I am still alive. :)

In the process of working on my "new" novel, I have written something very different from my earlier work. It's autobiographical and dark (or is that redundant?), not exactly novelistic narrative, but not quite poetry. It's more like spoken word performance art, and that's what I'll be doing with it--performing it on two upcoming dates.

Saturday, August 29, 1-4:30 PM
Aguilar Branch of the NYPL
174 E. 110 St., NYC
(part of Andrew Markus Bell's art show)

Wednesday, September 30, 6:30-9:30 PM
Three of Cups Lounge
85 First Ave. @ 5th St. (NW corner)
Rimes of the Ancient Mariner
monthly spoken word show

I hope some of you will be able to come to one of these performances.
